The PIMS Managing Safely course is designed to help managers and supervisors understand their practical responsibilities for occupational health and safety. The programme focuses on recognising hazards, assessing risks, investigating incidents and integrating effective safety practices into everyday operational decisions.
The course does not aim to turn managers into specialist HSE practitioners. Instead, it develops the practical awareness required to manage workplace risks, support employees and contribute to stronger organisational safety performance.

Assessment & Evaluation
The PIMS Managing Safely assessment consists of a 45-minute written examination containing 30 questions in a range of formats, together with a practical workplace risk-assessment project. The project must be completed within two weeks following completion of the course.
