The PIMS OSHA 48 Hours Oil and Gas Industry course provides specialised health and safety training for personnel involved in upstream, midstream and downstream operations. The programme focuses on recognising high-risk hazards, applying suitable controls and strengthening emergency preparedness across oil and gas workplaces.
Participants study hazardous-energy isolation, confined spaces, fire and explosion prevention, PPE, Permit-to-Work systems, spill management, mechanical integrity, hazardous materials and human-factor risks.

Assessment & Evaluation
- The examination is open book and must be completed within 2 hours.
- A minimum score of 65% is required to pass.
- Learners who do not pass may retake the examination.
- A maximum of three examination attempts is permitted within a 48-hour period.
- After three unsuccessful attempts, learners must wait 48 hours before another attempt.
- Learners should review the course material before retaking the assessment.
- Once the examination has been passed, it cannot be retaken solely to improve the score.
- All required course examinations must be successfully completed.
