Program Overview

The PIMS Rigger-II course is designed for personnel who already have basic rigging knowledge and want to develop intermediate skills for more demanding lifting operations. The programme expands knowledge of rigging equipment, equipment inspection, load calculations, lifting configurations and workplace risk controls.

Participants learn how centre of gravity, sling angles, load balance and equipment selection affect lifting operations while strengthening their ability to identify hazards and coordinate lifting activities safely.

Assessment & Evaluation

After completing the PIMS course material and required module quizzes, learners may proceed to the course examination.

  • The examination is open book and must be completed within 2 hours.
  • A minimum score of 65% is required to pass.
  • Learners who do not pass may retake the examination.
  • A maximum of three examination attempts is permitted within a 48-hour period.
  • After three unsuccessful attempts, learners must wait 48 hours before another attempt.
  • Learners should review the course material before retaking the assessment.
  • Once the examination has been passed, it cannot be retaken solely to improve the score.
  • All required course assessments must be completed successfully to finish the programme.
