The PIMS Scaffolding Supervisor course develops the technical and supervisory knowledge required to oversee scaffolding activities safely and effectively. The programme focuses on scaffold planning, erection, use, inspection, dismantling and supervision of scaffold teams.
Participants study scaffold systems, structural stability, work-at-height risks, load considerations, inspection requirements, tagging and the responsibilities of supervisors for maintaining safer scaffolding practices on site.

This PIMS Scaffolding Supervisor course is suitable for new and existing scaffolding supervisors, Construction Site Managers, Site Supervisors, foremen, HSE Officers, scaffolding contractors and experienced scaffolders progressing into supervisory roles.

Assessment & Evaluation
The PIMS Scaffolding Supervisor examination is open book and must be completed within 2 hours.
- A minimum score of 65% is required to pass.
- Learners who do not pass may retake the examination.
- A maximum of three examination attempts is permitted within a 30-hour period.
- After three unsuccessful attempts, learners must wait 24 hours before another attempt.
- Learners should review the course material before retaking the assessment.
- Once the examination has been passed, it cannot be retaken solely to improve the score.
- All required course assessments must be successfully completed.
